Electrolysis Hair Removal
Removing That Unwanted and Unsightly Hair

Needing unwanted hair removal can make you feel unattractive and uncomfortable. Whether you are a woman with thick eyebrows or a mustache or a man with more hair than you would like on your back, you simply feel the need to either hide or get rid of the excess hair you feel draws attention to you. There are many ways to remove unsightly hair but in most cases the hair is back in a day or two at the most. If you are hoping for a longer lasting solution for hair removal you are probably ready to consider electrolysis.

Although electrolysis is the only hair removal method that the FDA has sanctioned as a permanent hair removal treatment, most professionals in the field will advise you that no one can guarantee permanent hair removal for every person. They will however, assure you that using electrolysis increases your chances of your hair removal being permanent.

How Does Electrolysis Hair Removal Work?

Electrolysis is a method of destroying the hair root by using a small electrode that is needle thin. The electrode is placed into the follicle of each hair that needs to be removed and destroys the root inside the follicle. Because your hair grows at different stages, one treatment usually will not kill all the roots that need to be killed in order to stop hair growth in a given area. Several treatments will probably be needed even for a very small area such as eyebrow or a lip.

Pros of Electrolysis

The good thing about electrolysis is that it offers the best chance for permanent hair removal and even in cases where the hair does grow back there is often months and sometimes years before another set of treatments may be needed.

Another benefit of electrolysis is that you can use this treatment regardless of hair or skin type. Any discoloration caused by the treatment is usually temporary.
