Sugaring Hair Removal Recipe

Try hair this homemade sugaring hair removal recipe. It's inexpensive, and easy to do. You'll need:

• 2 cups sugar
• 1/4 cup lemon juice
• 1/4 cup water

Mix all the ingredients together in a pot and bring to a boil while stirring constantly. After it boils, turn it down to a simmer. Adjust temperature as needed and continue stirring until mixture is a rich brown or amber color. I find this is the hard part. I frequently had to remove the pot from the burner entirely a few times to ward off disaster. Also, it's kind of tricky getting the pot clean later. I recommend using TONS of soapy water. I even sometimes boil soapy water on the stove to get it clean. For this reason, I bought a pot at the dollar store specifically for this recipe. (Actually I bought 2. The first time I tried this, I totally burned the sugar.

Pour your homemade body hair removal sugar into freezer quality plastic containers. I like the Ziploc disposable containers. That way I can just throw them away and not feel bad.

Let the sugary stuff cool to room temperature before putting lids on them.

Ideally for sugaring to work on hair removal, you should grow your hair out a bit.
